On November 11th, 2002 Estudio Jurídico VIVANCO & VIVANCO completed 100 years of work. That date, a hundred years ago, we started as an international representation agency, encouraging foreign firms to do business in Ecuador.
Our history has been steadily linked to Ecuador and the world. In 1947, during the struggle to move forward from World War II, Ecuador was in the midst of an economic rise, the commercial representation agency started to render advising and legal representation services.
However the large step was taken in 1978, while the world was worried about the Cold War and Ecuador was enjoying fresh petroleum resources, we officially named our organization “Estudio Jurídico VIVANCO & VIVANCO” to consolidate our decades of effort.
The final relevant step in our transformation was taken in the year 2001; we adopted the modality of limited company, under which services are rendered more efficiently. We also opened offices in Guayaquil to serve the whole nation, and organized our internal structure in specialized divisions.
In November 2002, at the completion of 100 years of work, we undertook the task of informing colleagues and friends about occurrences and news. Our monthly bulletin LEX ECUADOR was created to inform in an understandable language. LEX ECUADOR is one part of our editorial projects along with La Revista Judicial and articles published by our members to promote the understanding of Law.
